The Mission Possible Partnership and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark are hosting a High-Level Virtual Seminar on Industry Decarbonization on Thursday 25 February 2021. This one-day meeting brings together leaders and experts to identify common barriers and solutions for accelerating the net-zero and energy industry transition. There will be a specific focus on Shipping, Aviation and Cement and Concrete sectors.
The seminar will also include members of 13 Climate Partnerships [https://stateofgreen.com/en/partners/state-of-green/news/13-climate-partnerships-will-support-the-danish-government-in-reaching-the-green-targets/], Danish Industry and Business leaders committed to scaling up industry transition at a global level. The meeting will mobilize action-orientated coalitions working strategically to deliver high-climate ambition outcomes at COP26 in Glasgow.
Key objectives to the meeting:
Identify common barriers and solutions for accelerating the net-zero transition across heavy-industry sectors
Share learnings and experiences from Danish Climate Partnerships that can be used in an international context
Explore what cross-cutting levers, including finance, energy, technology and policy solutions are needed to achieve industry transition
